Bioscience and biotechnology are expected to greatly contribute to the nurturing of the second-generation core industry in life, food and environment. This department provides wide-ranging researches from the fundamental research of life science to applied research. With the most advanced ideas and research equipments, we have been achieving a number of the world-highest level research results. While conducting advanced research for analyzing and utilizing molecular biotechnology that contributes to welfare and existence of human beings, we aim to nurture high-level researchers and professional engineers who are able to play a significant role in the fields of bioscience and biotechnology.
