How to Get to Higashi-Hiroshima

1.5 hours from Tokyo
50 minutes from Osaka, Kansai

There are a number of flights available daily from Tokyo or Osaka to Hiroshima Airport. Direct international flights from Dalian, Beijing, Shanghai of China, Seoul of Korea and Taipei of Taiwan are regularly available.

By "Shinkansen" or Super Express

4.5 hours from Tokyo and 2 hours from Osaka to Higashi-Hiroshima Station on JR Sanyo Shinkansen Line.

You can also get off at Hiroshima Station and take a local train on JR Sanyo Line to Saijo or Hachihonmatsu Station for 30 minutes.

How to Get to Hiroshima University
 

From any stations, take a public bus indicating "For Hiroshima University". The closest stop to AdSM is "Hirodai-Chuo-Guchi" or "Yamanaka-Ike".

 

From Hiroshima Airport

40 minutes by car or taxi

No direct transportation by bus or train.
Take a bus to Shiraichi Station on JR Sanyo Line for 15 minutes and then take a train to Saijo Station for 10 minutes.

From JR Saijo Station

12 minutes by bus or taxi

From JR Hachihonmatsu Station

15 minutes by bus or taxi

From JR Higashi-Hiroshima Station

13 minutes by bus or taxi (a few bus transportations)
