2.Philosophy

Based on traditional philological methods and on Western philosophy, ethics, and Indian philosophy, this course deepens students' understanding of philosophy, while at the same time using practical and interdisciplinary methods in applied ethics to embark upon research into universal problems pertaining to human beings and questions raised by the challenges posed by modern society. The aim of the course is to examine, in the light of the human wisdom passed on through history in the societies of various regions
throughout India and the West, those problems and questions from the various perspectives from which the world, humanity, life, life-styles, society, and nature are viewed.
