As shown by ethnic conflicts and environmental matter, our present society faces the destabilizing issues on the world. Under the current situation, the pursuit in the synthetic study beyond the conventional boundaries of each country or discipline is in high demand. In this Course, students are offered to pursue comprehensive and multifocal demonstrative research into history and culture in order to understand the historical character of individual countries or areas and their relevance within a worldwide context. Hence, we arrange the education and research involving not only traditional philological analysis but also meticulous fieldwork with experimental methods such as computerized analysis.
