In this program we conduct educational research on the Japanese language as a mother tongue and as a second language, as well as English as an international language, by focusing on the following areas: the developmental process of, and theories behind, language recognition and use; the process of development and change in language and culture; teaching-learning principles, methodologies and curriculum development which contribute to improvements in the quality of language and culture.
