Distinguished in Technology Transfer"
Guidance on the Special Course for International Students

 

The Graduate School of Engineering of Hiroshima University invites international students to apply for a special course "Fostering Program for Practical Researchers and Engineers Distinguished in Technology Transfer" founded as a doctoral course. This special course is specially intended for international students with a scholarship from the Japanese government (MEXT) in FY 2012.

This course will cultivate researchers and engineers with the capability to accommodate themselves to worldwide transfer of engineering and technology taking place in R&D and manufacturing situations of this era of borderless operations, as well as professional R&D capability. The curriculum includes thesis study supervised by multiple instructors of different disciplines, coursework on theories and examples of technology transfer, internship at Japanese companies, exercises on technology transfer (PBL: Problem Based Learning), etc. A Doctral thesis should include the discussion of the transfer of the developed technology.

Instruction on thesis study, lectures, and exercises will be conducted in English. Students with excellent school records, high proficiency in English, and capability to earn a Doctorate within three years are encouraged for admission.
