Laboratory of Animal Histophysiology

Hello Everybody.
I am from Nepal, a small landlocked Himalayan country in South Asia, where the world's highest mountain Mount Everest and birth place of Lord Buddha lie.

Beginning of my Life:

I came to Hiroshima University five years ago with high ambition for post-graduate study. After few months of my arrival, there was a lot of snow fall which I enjoyed first time in my life. I was quite impressed with different facilities, management system, and development situation here. As a foreigner and being far from family members, it was very difficult to accommodate in new environment, new language and with new people. However, friendly family environment of my laboratory made my life much easier.

Academic Life:

I am veterinarian, graduated from Tribhuwan University, Nepal. I was involved in teaching back home before joining Hiroshima University. Currently, I am a doctoral student of Animal Histophysiology Lab. My major is reproductive immunology, mainly focuses on the immune function of hen’s ovary. My knowledge and skill is enriched with different techniques based on immunology, molecular biology and histo-physiology. Different well equipped laboratories; easily accessible libraries and good academic environment made my research more successful. My academic confidence and communication skills have been improved by participating in many national and international conferences. Overall, I am confident that my study will be helpful to achieve academic goal for scientific carrier in days to come.

Social Life:

Higashi-Hiroshima is peaceful lovely place with kind hearted, helpful people. The different international parties and recreational bus tours gave me a lot of opportunities to exchange our culture and ideas among friends of different nations. Evenmore, family enviroment in my lab, organized different parties and tours are helping me a lot to understand and to be familiar with Japanese culture, norms and values. Also the interraction with different friends from different corner of World gave me a lot of exposure to understand and make my horizon broad with different aspects of life

I would like to appreciate Dr. Naoki Isobe, professors of animal science and all friends for their cooperation to achieve my academic carrier. Lastly but not least, I am very much grateful to my supervisor Prof. Yukinori Yoshimura for providing me tremondous opportunities, guidelines and cooperation to develop my expertize in the field of reproductive immunology.

Thank You.
