The Graduate School of  Biosphere Science seeks to pursue programs of education and research that contribute to human welfare and peace through the scientific investigation of biosphere phenomena and the resolution of problems in order to achieve the harmonious coexistence of mankind and nature. 
 

The Graduate School of Biosphere Science implements the following educational and research programs in order to train individuals capable of responding to the demands of time and the needs of society as highly skilled engineers and researchers in the fields of applied biology and environmentology with both regional and international perspective.

Utilization of biofunctions and bioresources and the development of advanced technologies for their use.

Development of technologies for evaluating, forecasting, and controlling cyclical systems in the biosphere.
