Professor Masanori Sugiyama, Dean of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences

 Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hiroshima University consists of 2 Institutions; Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (6-year program to nurture pharmacists with research capability) and Institute of Medicinal Sciences (4-year program to raise pharmaceutical scientists). At Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences which we had first graduates in March 2012, we aim to foster pharmacists who can discuss with doctors in the medical front line and have a rich sense of humanity to understand patients’ mind. At Institute of Medicinal Sciences, we focus on cultivating globally active pharmaceutical scientists who have a high motivation to create new medicines. Almost all of graduates from Medicinal Sciences enter into graduate school in order to enhance their research skills and techniques.

 Let’s pursue further development of pharmaceutical Sciences to contribute to the human health!
