The Characteristics of HU Education

One of the five guiding principles of Hiroshima University is "the nurturing of well-rounded human beings." Through liberal arts and specialized education, our students will acquire fundamental knowledge, information literacy, and the ability to see through to the heart of matters. Furthermore, to solve various problems which our society faces today, interdisciplinary perspectives and innovative values are necessary. We aim to educate students to become aware of the true meanings and potentials of knowledge and capable of using their abilities to contribute to various fields both in Japan and abroad.

 

ADMISSION POLICY

Hiroshima University nurtures human resources willing to take up challenges and commit to action. Our institution also strives to develop creative individuals who can think and judge for themselves and express their thoughts and opinions in an effective way.
