The Saijo Sports Field was created for the students and faculty of Hiroshima University, and is located 7 km south of Saijo Station on the JR Sanyo Line, and 3 km east of the HU Higashi-Hiroshima Campus (about a 40 minute walk). The Sports Field features a track, baseball field, soccer and rugby field, and tennis courts (12 courts). It is also located adjacent to the Saijo Seminar House, where guests can stay the night.

To get to the Saijo Sports Field, take either the Kure, Ichi-ida, or Kurose bound buses from JR Saijo Station and get off at the Suigenchi-Mae stop (approx. 15 minutes), and then walk east 13 minutes (1 km). To use the facilities, please apply at the Hiroshima University Student Support Center’s Student Activities Support Group from 2 months to 5 days in advance of the desired date.

There are 4 grass courts and 8 blacktop courts.

How to Apply:

1.Make a reservation with the General Student Support Center
(Reservation period is from 2 months to 15 days in advance of the desired date)

2.Submit the application form to the General Student Support Center
(Barring cases where reservations are made at the last minute, please submit this one week in advance)

3.Pick up a Permit from the General Student Support Center
Be sure to bring the permit with you when using the Sports Field, and please show it to the Sports Field Office on the first day of the month of your reservation.
(Those without permits may not be able to use the fields)

Please apply by month or by the facilities for use collectively. Please make a note on the Schedule Form if you will be using the facility for more than 3 days.
