There have been reports of problems caused by wild dogs within the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus and at the Ikenoue Student Dormitory. Although measures such as setting up cages for the protection of the wild dogs by the Animal Protection Center have been undertaken, please be aware of the following:
Please Note:
Never feed wild dogs (once they have been fed, they will no longer be afraid of people)
Use brightly lit, busy streets, even if it takes you out of your way
Do not turn your back on the dogs and run suddenly (the dogs will chase you)
If you are attacked by a wild dog:
Seek treatment at the Health Service Center or the nearest hospital and report the incident to the Student Support Office of your faculty or the Student Support Center using an Incident/Accident Report Form
