INU Double Degree Program in Global Citizenship
INU Double Degree Program "Global Citizenship and Peace"

The International Network of Universities' (INU) Double-Degree Program is an innovative program in which Hiroshima University students can obtain two degrees (one from HU, the other from an INU member university abroad) in fields related to "Global Citizenship and Peace."

  • Program Features 
     
  • Study abroad for 1 year (minimum) and earn Master's degrees from both HU and a university abroad 
  • Conduct research in areas related to "Global Citizenship and Peace" 
  • All courses at universities abroad are taught in English 
  • Tuition fees are paid only to HU; no need to pay tuition fees at the university abroad 
  • For participants in AY 2009-2010, Hiroshima University will fund return airfare from Japan to the airport nearest their study abroad destinations 

  • Application Requirements
    Students who fulfill the following criteria are eligible to apply: 

     
  • Enrolled in the Graduate School of Education, Social Sciences, or International Development and Cooperation at the time of dispatch 
  • Demonsrated academic excellence 
  • Willing to pursue research in fields related to "Global Citizenship and Peace" 
  • Demonstrated English language skills fluent enough for taking courses and conducting research 
  • Other criteria required at the host university
