At Hiroshima University, we offer the following programs for those wanting to learn about Japanese language and Japanese culture, as well as for those who would like to pursue specialized research:

The goal of the Program in Japanese Language and Culture Education is to cultivate high-quality Japanese language educators, and also to cultivate human resources who have the ability to be active in international society. Students learn about a variety of topics such as Japanese language, linguistics, intercultural exchange, Japanese culture, Japanese literature, psycholinguistics, and other topics which serve as the background for learning about the principles, methods, and contents of Japanese education. The Hiroshima University International Student Center holds many different Japanese Language Education Programs such as "Japanese Language and Japan (Japanese Language Class)" for international students at Hiroshima University, "Japanese Language Preparatory Education" for those international students who are planning to continue their education as full-time undergraduate/graduate students and are MEXT scholarship recipients, as well as a one-year "Japanese Studies Program" for MEXT scholarship recipients.
