The International House consists of a ten-story ferroconcrete building of steel frame construction (Building A), a five-story ferroconcrete building (Building B) and a three-story ferroconcrete building (Building C). Each of the buildings is equipped with the facilities outlined in the chart below.

<Furnishings>
Each room has the following furnishings. (You must provide your own dishes, pans, and a futon (bedding). There is a futon rental system (2,200 yen/month), which can be used for the first month after moving in. However, the house office suggests that you prepare your futon in advance (or on the day you move in), as there are a limited number available for rental on check-in day.)

Recreation Room The recreation room located on the 2nd floor of the A building. Residents can use this room to read newspapers, use computers or watch television from 7:00 to 24:00. |

Laundry Room There are two laundry rooms on the 5th floor and another on the 7th floor of the A building, fitted up with Washing Machine and Dryer operated by a coin-timer system. |

Internet Access
Residents can access wireless LAN for free with your own computer in the Recreation Room. If you need to access the internet in your
room, you can make a contract charged by NTT.
Parking Space
Because there is no parking lot near the A building, residents living there are not permitted to have a car.
(Parking space is available for residents living in the B and C building).
Pay Phone
A public telephone, on which you can make international calls, is installed in the A building.
<Qualifications for Residence>
Those eligible to reside in the International House are : Hiroshima University international students and researchers and their families
(defined as spouse and children) as well as other persons deemed eligible by the House Director.
International students who would like to reside in the International House should file an Application for Admission at their Academic
Department Office during the period of residency application (July and January approximately, twice a year).
As for the application for the C buiiding that is available for visiting researchers, please file an application at the international student
exchange group on demand.
As a rule, the period of residence at the International House varies from at least three months up to one year for students and from
at least one month up to one year for reseachers. The general residence period of single room is for 6 months.
(Extension of Residence: Residents may apply for residence extension only in case of illness or injury. Please submit the Application
for Residence Extension and medical certificate to your academic faculty during the Residence Application Period.)
