|Development of global environmental leaders to drive “green” growth in Asia, based on environmental security|
As a base for ‘cross-disciplinary’ environmental research that spans the entire university, the Global Environmental Leaders Education Program has as its aim the training of new global environmental leaders to drive sustainable growth throughout the world, through the resolution of environmental issues that cannot be resolved by humankind when constrained to existing academic fields, and the incorporation of research results into the public domain and the resulting social contribution.
The Global Environmental Leaders Education Program is comprised of two educational courses: the Cross-disciplinary Doctoral Course focused on the basic areas to support environmentally sustainable growth (‘green’ growth) in the Asia region, and the Environmental Management Education Program (development of management skills) to acquire the management skills required to deploy green technologies throughout the world. It is a 5-year doctoral education program conducted in English, with the objective of training the human resources described below, to make contributions to corporate, governmental and research institute activities in Asia.
