Institute for Sustainable Sciences and Development

The Institute for Sustainable Sciences and Development (ISSD) at Hiroshima University consists of two divisions: Interdisciplinary Research and Applied Development. The Interdisciplinary Research Division recruits two tenure track lecturers every year to construct an international base of the interdisciplinary research area for Materials Science, Life Sciences, and Earth & Environmental Sciences.

The tenure track lecturers will manage their independent laboratory, make researches to aim to construct Sustainability Science, and have educational experiences in related graduate schools. When the lecturers become a tenured full-professor or associate professor, they are expected to cooperate for construction and development of sustainable society.
