要旨

High-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) has played a leading role over the past decade in elucidating the nature of low-lying electronic states in correlated materials. In strongly correlated transition metal oxides, one of the most important tuning parameters in manipulating the hermodynamic properties is the number of doped carriers. Here, we present a detailed study of two different strongly correlated material families - the high-temperature superconductor Ca2-xNaxCuO2Cl2 and the ruthenate Sr2-xLaxRuO4. We compare and contrast the doping evolution of the two different systems. In the cuprate, due to strong correlations and polaron formation, the quasiparticle residue Z approaches zero as one reaches the Mott insulating limit and Luttinger's theorem is violated. In the case of Sr2-xLaxRuO4, we find demonstrate precise agreement with one-electron theory and a rigid band shift, and corresponding agreements with thermodynamic measurements.
