Overview of the Center

Hiroshima University’s Beijing Research Center is Hiroshima University’s first overseas research and education center. It was established on October 25, 2002 in Beijing, China in the International Education Building of Capital Normal University.
The center was established for the purpose of, 1) support and collaborative exchange of research between researchers, 2) to recruit outstanding international students, 3) provide support to Hiroshima University student studying in China, 4) introduce Japanese culture and information, and more. Concrete measures for achieving these objectives are currently in progress. With the completion of the new International Education Building at Capital Normal University’s College of International Education in October 2004, the center was able to move into an area 5 times the size of its previous location. The center has a tea ceremony room, classroom, offices, and Japanese speaking staff.
