TODA Takashi, Ph.D.

Former Senior Principal Investigator at the Francis Crick Institute (formerly Cancer Research UK’s London Research Institute)

Takashi Toda has been a specially appointed professor at the Graduate School of Integrated Sciences for Life in HU since 2015 and serving also as a core researcher in the Research Center for Healthy Aging (HiHA), one of the HU-founded Centers of Excellence. Before that he had led the Laboratory of Cell Regulation as a senior principal research scientist in the Francis Crick Institute (formerly Cancer Research UK’s London Research Institute) for 21 years (1995-2015).

He has been conducting many world-wide collaborations and acted as PI in the Human Frontier Science Program research grant (2000-2004).

His research area is molecular cell biology. He has been investigating the molecular mechanisms of cell division and chromosomes segregation.
