【Recent highlights】
We have recently found that experimental abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) significantly enlarged in osteoprotegerin (Opg)-knockout mice compared to control mice. This result indicates that Opg, known as osteoclastogenesis inhibitory factor, plays a role in the prevention of AAA progression. This study provides a new insight into prevention and treatment of aneurysm formation and rupture.
