Founding of the Graduate School of Integrated Arts and Sciences Set for 2006



In order to advance and deepen the existing history, success, and sophisticated research of the, Hiroshima University plans to create the Graduate School Faculty in April of 2006. The Graduate School of Integrated Arts and Sciences will be dedicated to the idea of fostering interest and study in general, interdisciplinary, and creative studies, and will be inaugurated into Hiroshima University as the Integrated Arts and Sciences Department celebrates its 31st year.



At the Graduate School of Integrated Arts and Sciences, the faculty, whose interests lie in expanding and crossing the diverse subjects of arts and sciences, looks forward to students who earnestly wish to pursue their research and satisfy their intellectual curiosities. Strengthened by their innovation, variety of specialties, and ceasless efforts at integrating the two sciences, the large faculty offers students a unique approach to education and research.



In these rapidly changing times, in order to answer the complicated questions of the world confidently and creatively, we must pursue a fusion of already existing fields of study. This fusion is made possible only through the study of Integrated Arts and Sciences.
