Hiroshima University Staff Donates to Japan Red Cross



Prsident Muta Donates to the Red Cross

To help in the relief efforts for victims of the Pakistan earthquake disasters, Hiroshima University collected donation money from its staff and donated 800,039 yen, or about $8000, to Japan Red Cross. On Friday, December 2, University President Taizo Muta visited the Japan Red Cross Hiroshima branch office and delivered the donated funds to the Secretary General of the Hiroshima Prefecture Branch Office, Mr. Kazuhiko Soyama.



The call for funds came from Pakistan Earthquake Disaster Support Committee, organized by staff members at Hiroshima University and represented by President Muta, who collected funds from the latter part of this October to mid-November.
