Visit from the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Japan

Roundtable Discussions

On November 29, the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Japan, Doctor B.S. Ngubane, visited our school. After paying a visit to University President Muta, Ambassador Ngubane participated in a round table discussion in the Graduate School Union. There were 15 professors, including Head of the International Education Development Center, Professor Ninomiya, as well as students who participated in the lively discussion entitled "Scientific Techniques for Africa's Future and the Japanese Contribution." Ambassador Ngubane was, until last year, the Minister of Arts, Culture, and Technology for the central government of South Africa. Before that, he worked as the mayor of the KwaZulu-Natal province and took his position as Ambassador in May of last year.
