Exchange Agreement Reached with Beijing Univ. of Aeronautics and Astronautics

On December 9, 2005, our school concluded the details of a university exchange agreement with China's Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The signature ceremony was held at the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and from our university, University President Muta, Professor Yamane, Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering, and Director of the Beijing Research Center, Professor Sato, were in attendance.



The Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics was founded in 1952 as a university specializing in training students in high level Aeronautic and Space technologies. Today, the university continues to develop as a general technical university with the School of Material Science and Engineering at the heart, and other majors such as Literature, Law, Economics, Management, Education, and more available. With a student body of approximately 26,000 students and a faculty of 3,300, the Engineering Department continues to hold international lecture partnerships and exchanges with students from abroad. From here forward, the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics hopes for the development of substantial research and educational exchanges in a wide variety of subject areas.
