Int'l Student Center's Intensive Japanese Training Course Begins



The students of the 2006 Intensive Japanese Training Course

On Monday, April 10 at the International Student Center, the 2006 Intensive Japanese Training Course (Part One) began. After the 15 people connected to the program, as well as 12 research students from 9 countries who will be taking the course this year, introduced themselves, the Head of the International Student Center, Professor Yoshinori Tabata gave an encouraging speech.



The intensive language course is aimed at international students who are continuing to graduate school. The class concentrates on teaching Japanese language and culture in order to give them the basic skills and knowledge necessary for graduate school life. This year marks the 42nd year that this program has been in practice. This year's international students are from Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the Philippines, Malaysia, Botswana, Egypt, Brazil, and China.
