Venue: The VBL Office in the Hiroshima University Collaborative Research Center



Lecturer: Kodali Dharma Rao, Special Professor of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering at the University of Minnesota (currently at Hiroshima University as a VBL-invited Researcher)



Lecture Title: "Elements of Entrepreneurship"



Description: Global competitiveness is a benchmark for entrepreneurship and creating wealth and prosperity. In the recent past, the quick pace of globalization has increased the opportunities and challenges to entrepreneurship. A critical requirement for economic leadership is supportive entrepreneurial environment and successful startup ventures. This lecture will provide essential elements required for entrepreneurship and analyze the factors to cultivate the environment for successful startup ventures. The discussions will include personal entrepreneurial experience and a case study relevant to Japan.



Mr. Dharma, with his experience in venture business in the US, will introduce the essential points in starting a venture business with the power to compete internationally. When the seminar concludes, we will hold an informal discussion session. This seminar will be conducted in English with simultaneous Japanese translation. We look forward to a large turnout.
