Fisheries Biology Program

- Toward the development of human resources who can support the fisheries industry in Japan and the world -

The Fisheries Biology Program teaches a broad range of knowledge and research methods about aquatic life, knowledge concerning technologies to nurture and grow aquatic organisms, and language skills that enable students to identify global challenges in these fields. The program also helps students acquire skills to identify challenges concerning the production of marine bioresources and problems arising in actual research situations, seek solutions on their own initiative, collect relevant data from an international viewpoint, and make effective presentations. Furthermore, the program studies how industries involving the breeding/farming and processing of aquatic organisms can affect the global environment and society.
