For his lifetime research achievements in the field of crystallization and physical properties of lipids,
Professor Emeritus Kiyotaka Sato of the Graduate School of Biosphere Science was awarded
the European Lipid Technology Award by the President of the European Federation for Science
and Technology of Lipids (Euro Fed Lipid).
Professor Sato delivered his distinguished lecture entitled “External factors affecting lipid crystalization”
during the 11th Euro Fed Lipid Congress held at the Jasper Oditoryum plenary hall in Antalya, Turkey
on October 27-30, 2013.The Euro Fed Lipid is a large federation of 13 scientific associations dealing
with fats, lipids and oils with more than 2,000 individual members.
