Higashihiroshima station is the closest Shinkansen station to Higashi-Hiroshima campus. Please note that the public transportation from the station is very limited (specially on weekends). Hiroshima station is the closest Shinkansen station to Kasumi campus and Higashi-Senda campus. Higashi-Hiroshima campus is also easily accessible from Hiroshima station. Directions from Hiroshima station to each campus.

Please take a train on the Sanyo Main Line to Saijo. The train usually departs from platform 5, and takes approximately 40 minutes to Saijo. From Saijo station, you can get to the campus by bus or taxi.

From Hiroshima Station to Kasumi campus
Please take one of the following buses or taxi to "Daigakubyoin-mae" (meaning "in front of Hiroshima University Hospital"). It should take approximately 15 minutes. You can also get to the campus by getting the bus off at "Daigaku-byoin-iriguchi". It is about 3-minutes walking distance to the campus. (Bus timetables)
- No. 302 (Loop bus)
- No. 312 (Hiroshima Minato Line)
- No. 332 (bound for Asahimachi via Hiroshima University Hospital, this service is not available between 9:00 and 18:00.)
- No. 342 (bound for Hiroshima Prefectural Hospital via Hiroshima University Hospital, this service runs only in the morning between 7:00 and 8:00.)

Please take either bus No. 301 or No. 50, tram Route No. 1, or a taxi to "Nisseki Byoin Mae" (meaning "in front of Hiroshima Red Cross Hospital"). Bus takes approximately 15 minutes, and tram takes approximately 25 minutes.

*The "Green Phoenix" highway bus service, which previously connected the Hiroshima Bus Center to the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus, has been discontinued as of March 31, 2024.
From Hiroshima Bus Center to Kasumi campus
There is no direct bus service from the Bus Center to Kasumi campus. Please take the Hiroshima Bus No. 23 from the bus stop located in front of the Hiroshima Prefectural Government Offices. It will take approximately 30 minutes.

From Hiroshima Bus Center to Higashi-Senda campus
There is no direct bus service from the Hiroshima Bus Center to Higashi-Senda campus. Please take tram No. 1, 3 or 7 bound for Hiroshima Port/Ujina. It will take approximately 15 minutes. The Higashi-Senda campus is located on the left hand side of the road, approximately 50 meters past the tram stop.

From Higashihiroshima station
There is a very limited bus service to the Higashi-Hiroshima campus from Higashi Hiroshima station. We recommend that you take a taxi to the Higashi-Hiroshima campus or organize for someone to pick you up. If there is no taxi waiting at Higashi Hiroshima station, please call Saijo Taxi on 082-423-2525 or Higashi Hiroshima Taxi on 082-423-2121.
