On February 1, 2013, Hiroshima University established two new programs: the "Distinguished Professors" (DP) program and the "Distinguished Researchers" (DR) program. Hiroshima University has been selected as one of the institutions designated under MEXT's "The Program for Promoting the Enhancement of Research Universities."
URA stands for University Research Administrator. URAs are human resource personnel responsible for promoting research activities conducted by researchers and enhancing research development management.
The Organization for Research Promotion comprehensively manages Hiroshima University's research activities in order to ensure its further development as a research university.
