Dr. Naoki Isobe of the Animal Histophysiology laboratory visited Khon Kaen University in northern Thailand on 13-15 January 2018.

As part of the program of the Research Center for Animal Science (RCAS) at Hiroshima University, a meeting to discuss about collaborative research was held with Dr. Monchai Duangjinda (Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University), Dr. Virote Pattarajinda (vice dean), and Dr. Suporn Katawatin.  Milk samples from animals in the Kohn Kaen University farm were collected to investigate the relationship between mastitis (inflammation of the udder) and reproductive function under heat stress condition in Thailand. With this visit, it is hoped that collaboration between the two institutions will be promoted.
