A “CV Writing Workshop” was held by the Phoenix Leader Education Program.

This program intends to develop internationally-minded personnel capable of managing the recovery from a radiation disaster. In support of our student’s international job search, a “CV writing workshop” was given by Professor Dion Clingwall. This workshop’s goal was to promote effective CV and cover letter writing in English. The workshop was held both at the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus (on July 19) and the Kasumi Campus (July 20). More than ten PhD students took part in the workshop including students from the Phoenix Leader Education Program, the Taoyaka Program as well as several other post-graduate researchers. During the workshop, the students discussed not only the required content and possible structures of an effective CV, but also learned about business cultures of different countries and the importance of tailoring one’s CV specifically for one’s chosen field. The lecture wrapped up with the participants talking about their own CVs, and getting specific advice from both the instructor and their peers.
