Phoenix Leader Education Program (Hiroshima Initiative) for Renaissance from Radiation Disaster

The 2nd short-term internship report meeting was held.

The 1st common course work repot meeting was held.

The Phoenix Leader Education Program held a short-term internship report meeting and a common course work report meeting.

At the 2nd short-term internship report meeting (28 April 2014), two students completed their internships at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) made presentations about their experiences. They explained what IAEA is, their activities at the IAEA, the technical meetings that they attended, and skills and knowledge that they acquired through the internship. Some questions were raised by the meeting participants, such as how they are going to utilize their experience for their research.

At the 1st common course work report meeting (24 February 2014), four students made presentations on the issues relating to problem-solving resulting from summary of “Common Course Work.” It consists of five different subjects. Lively discussion was conducted and the meeting went over the scheduled time. It was well recognized that each student made progress in their interdisciplinary studies.

The report meetings were televised live to another campus and collaborating organizations. All the presentations were done by the students themselves in English.
