The 4th International Symposium ‘Leadership and Trust in Radiation Disaster’

The 4th International Symposium was held on February 14 -15, 2015, at International Conference Center Hiroshima with many participants from Japan and abroad, who were researchers, students, and member of industry.

On the first day of symposium, program students made oral and poster presentation on their research and the progress. On the second day, four speakers invited from abroad who are leaders of international organizations, Dr. May Abdel-Wahab (IAEA Director of Division of Human Health), Dr. Rethy K. Chhem (Director of Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI)) (former IAEA Director of Division of Human Health), Dr. Jacques Lochard (ICRP Vice-Chair), and Dr. Albert Lee Wiley (Director of Radiation Emergency Assistance Center/Training Site (REAC/TS), Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education), and two researchers from Japan, Professor Noboru Takamura of Nagasaki University and Professor Kiriko Sakata of Hiroshima University, made presentations on their specialized field, followed by active discussion with students and audience on the symposium theme.
