Hiroshima University awards the President’s Awards to any individual or group, inside or outside the university that has made a contribution to the development of Hiroshima University.

This year, 12 individuals in Hiroshima University were chosen as President’s Awards recipients and 5 individuals from inside and outside of Hiroshima University were chosen as President’s Special Awards recipients. The Awarding Ceremony was held on November 13 (FRI) at Higashi Hiroshima Campus Faculty Club Reception Hall.

Phoenix Outstanding Researcher Award created this year recognizes young researchers for their research achievements. The five recipients of this award were also awarded in this ceremony.

In the award ceremony, President Mitsuo Ochi gave words of congratulation, “I am sure that your achievements will be a big influence for the local and world community” as he handed certificates of commendation and gifts to the recipients
