Book and Journals donated to the Visayas State University Library



Close to a thousand volumes of English language scientific journals and books were donated

by the Graduate School of Biosphere Science, Hiroshima University to the library of

the Visayas State University (VSU) in the Philippines last month under the Memorandum of

Agreement covering academic exchanges and mutual cooperation.



Dr. Taketo Obitsu, professor of animal nutrition, represented Dean Kazumasa Uematsu in

officially turning over the donated materials during simple ceremonies held at the VSU

library on September 2nd, 2015.



On hand to receive the donations were Dr. Jose L. Bacusmo, VSU President, Dr. Edgardo E. Tulin,

VSU Vice President for Instruction and Ms. Andreli Pardales, chief librarian.The occasion coincided

with the annual educational tour of Hiroshima University animal science and ecoscience students

to VSU which was also accompanied by Dr. Takenori Nagaoka of the plant environmental science

laboratory and Dr. Lawrence M. Liao from September 1st to the 8th.
