We signed an Agreement for Academic Collaboration with Leipzig University, Germany

On October 5th 2016, Graduate School of Education, Hiroshima University and Faculty of Education, Leipzig University, Germany concluded an Agreement for Academic Collaboration on Higashi-Hiroshima campus of Hiroshima University. Prof. Christian W. Glück, Dean of Faculty of Education, Leipzig University visited Dean Prof. Masataka Koyama, and both deans signed the agreement.

After the ceremony, an International Joint Symposium was held with Prof. Katrin Liebers and Prof. Maria Hallitzky from Leipzig University. Many faculty members and students of our Graduate School of Education joined and listened to the lectures.

Leipzig University is located in Saxony in the east part of Germany. Established in 1409, it is a traditional university with more than 600-year history. It consists of 14 faculties with about 29,000 students: Theology; Law; Education; History, Arts and Oriental Studies; Philology; Social Sciences and Philosophy; Economics and Management Science; Sport Science; Medicine; Mathematics and Computer Science; Biosciences, Pharmacy and Psychology; Physics and Earth Sciences; Chemistry and Mineralogy; and Veterinary Medicine.

Taking this opportunity, we will start a new joint research project. We look forward to more active exchanges between the two universities.
