“This will be my first time participating in the World Championships,” said Ms. Kurokawa, steadily preparing for the championships. “Because it’s very difficult to predict opponents’ moves, right now I want to fight as many different partners as possible, from junior high school students up to elderly people. I try to give my best, no matter who my opponent is.” Ms. Kurokawa spoke enthusiastically, “I will fight in the individual matches, but these fights are not only important for me as an individual. I should never forget that I represent Japan. Of course, I want to win!”
