The 2nd Phoenix Leader Education Program seminar 2015

In the 2nd Phoenix Leader Education Program (PLEP) seminar 2015, Mika Shozaki, of the International Affairs Division, Minister's Secretariat, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), gave a lecture on the Operations of NIRS (National Institute of Radiological Sciences) and its International Cooperation on June 22. The PELP seminars are held regularly with the purpose of disseminating information about the activities of our program by providing open classes and lectures to Hiroshima University students, faculty and staff.

More than 25 people, including both undergraduate and PLEP graduate students, attended the seminar and contributed to a lively learning environment.

In her lecture, Ms. Shozaki talked about the operation systems of the NIRS in the event of a radiation disaster. She also talked about her own career path. Lastly Dr. Kamiya, PLEP program director, concluded the seminar by stating that through her active efforts Ms. Shozaki represents a great role model for young leaders, and he expects the participating students to always pursue their studies while keeping in mind their future career goals. It was a very useful seminar for all participants.
