The 2016/2017 academic year Opening ceremony for the Phoenix Leader Education Program took place on October 4, 2016. Nine new students from five different countries were welcomed into our program.

With his the opening remarks, Director Kenji Kamiya greeted the new students with enthusiasm for their commitment and encouraged them to study diligently and to focus their efforts or learning as much as possible.

The Phoenix Leader Education Program graduate students include 36 people from first-years to fifth-years that hail from 12 different countries and are now eagerly developing their academic knowledge and expertise. At the same time they are also working hard to acquire a broad range of interdisciplinary and earn the title of knowledge and practical skills to deepen their overall language ability, in order to become a global leader, and earn the title of “Phoenix Leader”, someone able to contribute effectively to the renaissance from a Radiation Disaster.
