Hiroshima University Graduate School of Engineering and Ecole de Technologie Superieure (ETS) in Canada concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic and research exchange. On October 5, 2012, an MoU signing ceremony was held at the Embassy of Canada in Japan, where Fusahito Yoshida, Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering and Dr. Philippe Bocher, who attended the ceremony on behalf of Dr. Jean-luc-Fihey of ETS, signed the Memorandum and shook hands. On the day of the ceremony, Japan-Canada Global Cluster Collaboration Forum took place at the Embassy, which was jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Embassy of Canada in Japan, and the signing of the MoU was conducted in the presence of Mr. Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for Science and Technology, Dr. Claude-Yves Charron, Representative of the Quebec Government Office in Tokyo, and Masaaki Tanaka, Senior Deputy Director-General of the Science and Technology Policy Bureau of MEXT, who attended the forum. MoU will enable academic and research cooperation that leverages the respective strengths of both institutions. |
