A. For your first visit, a referral letter and an appointment arranged by a local medical institution are required. They will arrange your appointment through our Regional Collaboration Office. We do not accept direct appointment requests (by phone or email) from first time patients.

Q. I am traveling in Japan. Can I visit the hospital without a referral or appointment?
A. For your first visit, a referral letter and an appointment arranged by a local medical institution are required. For travelers who wish to receive medical care, please visit a nearby medical facility instead of our hospital.

Q. I am traveling. Can I receive a prescription without a consultation?
A. Under Japanese law, a doctor must examine you in person before prescribing any medication.
Q. Can I make an appointment for tests only?
A. We do not accept appointments for tests requested by patients.
Tests are performed only when deemed necessary by a physician after consultation.
Q. Do you provide health checkups?
A. We do not offer general health checkups.
Q. Do you provide medical examinations required for overseas travel or visa applications?
A. We do not provide these examinations.
Q. I live overseas. Can I receive an online consultation or second opinion?
A. We do not provide online medical consultations or online second opinions for overseas patients.
Hospital Services
Q. Do you provide interpreting services?
A. Yes. Multilingual interpreting services are available.
If you have concerns about communicating during your visit, please inform our staff in advance.
Q. I have private overseas medical insurance. Can the hospital file the claim on my behalf?
A. We do not correspond directly with overseas insurance companies. Please submit your claim to your insurance provider yourself. Cashless services for overseas travel insurance are not available. Patients without Japanese health insurance are required to pay the full amount at the time of the visit.
Q. Do you offer halal meals or have a prayer room?
A. Halal friendly meals can be arranged during hospitalization. Please consult our staff. A prayer room is not available.
Q. Can I request the gender of the doctor?
A. As a general rule, we are unable to accommodate requests for a doctor’s gender.
Q. Is there a smoking area on campus?
A. No. Smoking is prohibited throughout the entire campus.
Documents and Medical Information
Q. Can you connect me with a specific doctor by phone or email?
A. We cannot arrange direct contact with individual doctors.
Q. Can I email my medical records or test results to a doctor and receive comments?
A. We do not provide medical advice via email or telephone. A face to face consultation is required.
Q. I would like to know what treatments are available at your hospital.
A. We cannot provide treatment details by email or phone. Please consult the doctor during your visit. For first time visits, please discuss with your referring medical institution. Patients overseas should consult EAJ.
Q. Can I obtain a medical certificate in English?
A. Yes, we can issue certificates for a fee. Please request this during your consultation.
• Hospital standard format: 3,300 yen
(If required for insurance claims, please inform us in advance what information your insurer requires.)
• Insurance company’s designated form: 5,500 yen
Hospitalization and Personal Information
Q. Can you tell me whether my family member or friend is hospitalized, or provide information about their condition?
A. Due to patient privacy regulations, we are unable to provide any information regarding a patient’s hospitalization status or medical condition.
