Research Topic
My research interest is the relationship between language and thought. Especially, I focus on how general cognitive abilities can shape human language capacity and in what way living with a language has some influence on its user's mind. The difference between Japanese speakers' way of thinking and that of English speakers’ is one of my current research topics.

It has been estimated that there are about 7,000 languages in the world. Assuming that language and thought are strongly connected with each other, we may have almost 7,000 different ways of thinking. Join us in our study of the human mind through the study of language!
