Why did you decide on AdSM as the place where you study overseas?

Well, after getting Vietnam Government scholarship, I accessed to the internet to find out universities in Japan as well as professors and their research fields. I thought Hiroshima University is one of the best Universities in Science and technology in Japan and a beautiful one, too. And I wanted to discovery it. My favorite research field is Electronics and Related Materials and I was interested in AdSM. After finding out most of Professors of AdSM and their fields, I was really attracted by a topic of Associate Professor Shin-Ichiro Kuroki “Poly-Si TFT and Nephron chip”. I contacted to him to enquire into this topic and I understood that this is what I really want to do.

Is there anything that surprised you in Japan?

Yes, of course. Everything surprised me. Japanese people are so polite, kind, and so hard work, too. There are many advanced apparatuses which I could not imagine before coming. Well, there are many rules for user in the experiment room, too. It took me a year to get used to it.

How is your life in Higashi-Hiroshima city?

I think I have been getting a wonderful life in Japan, I never forget. I enjoyed my life as well as my research every single day. In addition, food, health care, and transport are really good in Japan.

What will you do after graduation and where?

Well actually, I will go back Vietnam and work for Hanoi National University of Education which I engaged to. However to be honest, I hope I could get a postdoctoral researcher to carry on my research for more few years because I want to make my devices better.

Please write a message for future international students.

AdSM is a great place to study. If you can find your true passion and motivation on research, you will enjoy your study and life every single day in Japan.
