On October 6 and 7, 2026, three faculty members in oral health and nursing from the School of Health and Welfare at Jönköping University, Sweden, an international exchange partner of Hiroshima University, visited the School of Dentistry.

During the visit, the two sides held a planning meeting for a COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) project for nursing and oral health students at both universities, scheduled to begin on October 21. They also discussed their ongoing joint research. In addition, the three visiting faculty members gave a lecture to third-year students in the Course for Oral Science, and the group toured campus facilities and the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Hiroshima University Hospital.

The visit further strengthened the cooperative relationship between the two universities and was a valuable opportunity to advance future international collaboration in education and research.

We will continue our educational and research exchanges with Jönköping University and deepen our partnership.
