From January 19 to 23, 2026, the School of Dentistry at Hiroshima University welcomed five dental students from Taipei Medical University and Kaohsiung Medical University in Taiwan. Both universities have established academic exchange agreements with Hiroshima University.

During their approximately one-week stay, the students attended lectures and practical training in both basic and clinical dentistry offered by the School of Dentistry. They also observed dental clinical practice at the university hospital and received introductions to cutting-edge research conducted in basic science laboratories. In addition, the students participated in an exchange event with the students of the School of Dentistry, Hiroshima University, and joined an excursion to Miyajima, providing valuable opportunities not only for academic learning but also for cultural exchange and mutual understanding.

Despite the short duration of the program, we believe that these experiences will have a meaningful impact on the participants’ future careers and personal development.
