The call for applications for the Hiroshima University Fellowship for Female Graduate Students in Science and Technology (FY2024) has begun.
For details, please download and refer to the following application guideline.
【Application Documents】
Hiroshima University has established the Fellowship for Female Graduate Students in Science and Technology for female graduate students in the science and technology fields.
While we have seen an increase in participation of females in the workforce, the number of successful female researchers in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields remains low as of today. Therefore, in order to form the foundation for developing excellent female researchers in the STEM fields from Hiroshima University, this Fellowship will appoint female students who are motivated to demonstrate their full potential in the science and technology fields, and provide them with stipends to allow them to concentrate on their research (hereafter referred to as the stipends) and research funds. This Fellowship will support the ambitions and hopes of the female graduate students who are aspiring to become researchers in the science and technology fields.
In FY2024, we are undertaking a call for applications for the STEM Female Junior Research Fellow for female M2 students in the science and engineering fields who plan to continue onto a Doctoral course at Hiroshima University.
If selected as a STEM Female Junior Research Fellow, support will be provided until the completion of the Master’s course through the stipends and research funds.
