Hiroshima University Fellowship for Female Graduate Students in Science and Technology

Hiroshima University Fellowship for Female Graduate Students in Science and Technology

In this project, female doctoral course students (D1 to D3) who are motivated to play an active role in the science and technology fields are selected as STEM Female Research Fellows and receive a fellowship consisting of stipends (equivalent to living expenses) and research funds. With this Fellowship, we provide an environment where students can concentrate on their research.

Furthermore, as an initiative unique to our university, we will actively further support master’s course students who are willing to go on to a doctoral course. For M2 students in particular, if the supported students go on to a doctoral course at our university, we guarantee them that they will be continuously supported as STEM Female Research Fellows, in order to alleviate any financial concerns they may have and enhance their motivation upon advancing to a doctoral course.

Through such efforts, we provide support to female graduate students who have high hopes and aspirations to become researchers in the STEM fields.
