Due to the summer closure and library system update, services will be handled as follows:
Library Closure
August 9 (Sat) – August 17 (Sun)
Higashisenda Library: August 10 (Sun) – August 17 (Sun)
※ Online applications (via the web) will still be accepted.
However, any applications submitted on or after August 8 (Fri) will be processed starting August 18 (Mon).
Even for express delivery or EDDS requests, applications will be handled in the order received. Thank you for your understanding.
System Update Period
August 25 (Mon) 17:00 – September 1 (Mon) 9:00 (tentative)
※ Online applications will be suspended during this period.
We apologize for the inconvenience and kindly ask that you submit your applications via the web after the update period.
Even if you submit a paper application, the library system will be offline, so processing will begin after the update period.
Please note that many libraries will be closed around the Obon holiday, followed by the system update period.
As a result, it may take longer to obtain materials.
In some cases, it may take up to one month to receive requested items.
Receiving Documents and Books
- Before the closure period: Until 15 minutes before each library’s closing time (please refer to the opening calendar)
- During the system update period: Only items for which arrival notification has been received by August 25 (Mon) 17:00
